All the little birdies...

We have a ton of little sparrows visiting our feeder this winter. Chubs, our orange tabby cat, saw one just outside my bedroom window. The little bird bounced around from branch to branch, on the bush. Chubs whined loudly and then began pawing at the window, in an attempt to get the birds attention. It was a very pathetic attempt. The little sparrow never noticed him and stayed on the bush. Chubs eventually lost interest and swaggered away from the window.

We added another pet family member. Her name is Molly, she is 1 year old, and is a Golden Retriver/Lab mix which equals smart, good with kids, and loves people. She was adoped from another family we knew who had found her as a stray several months ago, but their older femal dog did not like her and picked on her alot, so they needed a new home for her. She settled in perfectly here, like she had always lived here. She gets along great with teh other animals and she likes rides in teh car.

One day... my bathtub will not be full of wet hotwheel cars. I will not step on painful lego's strewn about the floor, late at night when I check on the boys as they sleep. One day I will not get to talk to a fieman, a caterpillar, and a pirate all in the same day, as Oliver puts on all the costumes in the dress-up box throughout the day. One day I will not step on clumps of snow brought in my little boy snow boots, in my bare feet. One day Ian will stop telling me that cactuses have milk inside them to feed the animals in the desert. In one day all these things will change, but today they are mine.

A Simple Womans Daybook
FOR TODAY January 5...
Outside my window...snow is falling yet again this winter
I am thinking...I need to get the boys School Portfolios organized
I am thankful for...my warm home
From the learning rooms...we just finished working on math
From the kitchen...we just ate the cookies warm out of the oven
I am wearing...White t-shirt and black yoga capris
I am creating...a mess in the kitchen today
I am going...to finish this Porfolio Project so I am not so stressed out
I am reading...nothing right now except the occassional blog
I am hoping...my life will calm down and be normal
I am hearing..the boys playing in their rooms
Around the house...the ceiling fan is whiring
One of my favorite things...warm cookies fresh from the oven
A few plans for the rest of the week:Scouts on Tuesday,Portfolio Conference on Wednesday, Awanas meeting with Kelsi in Star
Here is picture thought I am sharing...
