National Handwriting Day

Join us in making history this National Handwriting Day, January 23, 2009!
We invite children across the country to submit handwritten letters of advice to their new President, Barack Obama. This is a great opportunity to spark their enthusiasm for written communication and civic participation.
It's easy to get on board. Simply visit our National Handwriting Day (NHD) website and register:

All elementary school children are eligible.
Participation is free.
You can download free activity sheets and double line stationery for children to write their letters.
Your letters will be hand-delivered to the White House on January 23!
Track Progress Across the Country
Be sure to check the NHD site frequently for letter excerpts and progress reports as they come.
